Queen of rainbow light, this is Iris. A being of light and radiant color, sending hope throughout the cosmos and light into the darkest of corners. This vintage frame was hand-selected and re-purposed by me. All plants and wings are glued directly onto glass and then covered with another sheet of glass for protection and shine.
This piece contains pansy, gold leaf, peacock feather tendrils, and the wings of a stunning sunset moth (Chrysiridia rhipheus).
This moth was purchased from a sustainable butterfly sanctuary. These beautiful creatures were ethically collected after passing away naturally, and are now honored and cherished forever.

-Not for outdoor placement, keep indoors to avoid water damage.-
Best to keep away from direct sunlight, as the plants will fade over time if placed in a window! The fading of plants is natural and does not take away from their beauty, but rather reminds us of the constant change in life. If you are okay with this, then a window is fine. But keep in mind--the colors will stay forever if kept away from direct strong light.
