Forest mother-of-pearl butterfly (Salamis parhassus) floating above preserved passionflower and goldenrod. This piece holds open a soft doorway into a world of iridescent light. Angelic protection, self-knowing, compassion. Glass and wings are both iridescent and shimmer with pale rainbow light.

This Italian vintage frame (~1950's) was hand-selected and re-purposed. All plants and wings are glued directly onto hand-cut iridescent glass and then covered with clear glass for protection and shine.

This piece contains passionflower, goldenrod, eucalyptus, German statice, silver ragwort, goldleaf, and the wings of a forest mother-of-pearl butterfly (Salamis parhassus).

This butterfly was purchased from a sustainable butterfly sanctuary. All creatures were collected after passing away naturally, and are now honored and cherished forever.

~Each piece that I make is created in an intentional, devotional space. I sit with the plants and create whatever my inner vision directs me to. This is my sacred practice, and it is suffused with magic and love!~

Best to keep away from direct sunlight, as the plants will fade over time if placed in a window! The fading of plants is natural and does not take away from their beauty, but rather reminds us of the constant change in life. If you are okay with this, then a window is fine. But keep in mind--the colors will stay forever if kept away from direct strong light.
