This piece is named after Nyx, Greek goddess of the Night. She is said to be a winged primordial being, and is the very substance of the night and darkness~from which springs forth fate, light, day, dreams...may this piece bring a mystical essence into your home. This piece is shrouded in beauty, as colors and shine reveal themselves from different angles. Peacock feather cores and tendrils, wildflowers, and goldleaf surround this butterfly-- giving this piece dimension and shine. A reminder of universal mystery, beauty, and magick. Perfect for the witchy soul.
This Finnish vintage frame (~1950-60's) was hand-selected and re-purposed by me. The glass is uniquely domed to bring a sense of dimension and glow.
This piece contains peacock feather tendrils and core, goldleaf, salvia amistad flowers, and the wings of a green peacock swallowtail butterfly (Papilio paris).
This butterfly was purchased from a sustainable butterfly sanctuary. These beautiful creatures were collected after passing away naturally, and are now honored and cherished forever.

~Each piece that I make is created in an intentional, devotional space. I sit with the plants and create whatever my inner vision directs me to. This is my sacred practice, and it is suffused with magic and love!~

-Not for outdoor placement, keep indoors to avoid water damage.-
Best to keep away from direct sunlight, as the plants will fade over time if placed in a window! The fading of plants is natural and does not take away from their beauty, but rather reminds us of the constant change in life. If you are okay with this, then a window is fine. But keep in mind--the colors will stay forever if kept away from direct strong light.
